Shenzhen Safari Park, a look at some of the rare un-caged animals
Shenzhen Safari Park is situated toward the north stretch of Shenzhen, China. The park lies next to the wondrous shores of the magnificent lake XIli. The zoo at Shenzhen Safari Park is one of the first zoos in all of China to have animals that are free to roam about. The zoo comprises of over 300 different varieties of animals, there are also many varieties of flora and fauna in the zoo. In addition, the zoo at Shenzhen Safari Park conducts animal performances. Much of the animals at the zoo are either nationally protected animals in China or some of the rarest species found in the world. To name a few of the animals that can be found at the zoo are flamingoes, Siberian tigers, red crowned cranes, Asian elephants, giraffes and pandas. The park is divided in to different zones and areas to showcase the animals. In the beasts’ zone the visitors can expect to find cheetahs, lions, wolves, bears, South China tigers, Siberian tigers or North China tigers and Bengal tigers or white tigers. At the Chinese Liger Hill, tourists can see the rare ligers, a hybrid cross between a male lion and female tigress and the world’s only tiglon, a hybrid cross between a male tiger and female lioness. In the vegetarian zone which is named so, due the reason that the animal that reside here are vegetarians, experience the sights and sounds of the pandas, swans, hippopotamuses, camels, kangaroos, zebras, flamingoes and giraffes, greeting visitors as they enter this region. At the animal performance zone, visitors can see orangutans, parrots and elephant performances. Each day the zoo orchestrates 10 performances each held in the 4 animal halls, these include the Birds Performance Hall, Sea lion Performance Hall, the Elephants and Tiger Show Hall and the Circus Hall.
