Its Two engines for the 2010 Jag XF
Unchanged from the previous two years on the outside, Jaguar’s XF for 2010 has one old and two new engine offerings to go with its four different models. The Jaguar XF base model comes with the same 4.2 liter V8 naturally aspirated double overhead cam (DOHC) engine that equipped the 2009 model. The bore is 86 mm and the stroke is 11.0. The compression ratio of this engine is 11.0. With 300 horsepower, the XF uses variable valve timing, camshaft four valves per cylinder and multipoint fuel injection to give it the pep drivers expect from a Jaguar. This vehicle from Jaguar is sure to provide all of the speed that customers of Jaguar have come to expect.
Offering excellent passing power even at low speeds, the 2010 XF Premium is equipped with a 5.0 Liter V8, 385 horsepower engine. The torque produced by this engine is 380 foot pounds, enough power to overcome even the steepest hills. This engine propels the Jaguar XF from 0 to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds.
A modified 5.0 liter engine propels the supercharged Jaguar XF. A lot of effort was made to successfully conceal the whine of the supercharger from the interior of the cabin. Even though passengers can’t hear the power, they sure can feel it. All new for 2010, the XFR is the ultimate in sport luxury, the XFR model by Jaguar has a supercharged, naturally aspirated 5.0 liter v8 engine that features Adaptive Dynamics and Active Differential Control. The 510 horsepower engine generates an amazing 510 foot pounds of torque as it accelerates the XFR from 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds.
