Vancouver Winter Olympics: Weather Hitches Will Cause Fans To Miss Out On Events In Snowboard Mountain
Unfortunately over 4000 spectators per event to be held in the snowboard mountain will miss out on the event as a result of cancellations of their tickets. This is a result of decisions reached by the Vancouver winter Olympics organizing committee. Their decision is based upon the unsafe nature of the general admission standing room in the snowboard mountain stadium. These is because of the heavy rains in the last 48 hours that washed away afoot of snow in the area where the standing room was to be located.
Events in the 2010 winter Olympics to be affected by this are the men’s snowboard cross on Monday, February 15, 2010 at 10:30 am and 2:00 pm (Pacific Time.) Also Ladies snowboard cross on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 10:00 am and 12:15 pm (Pacific Time.)
Spectators in the 2010 Vancouver winter Olympics not affected by the cancellation are those with the $ 125 tickets for seating in the grandstand in the ladies and men snowboard cross. These are for the February 15th and 16th tickets. Also those holding sport events tickets for all whistler venues won’t be affected. Also not to be affected are those with general admission standing room tickets for freestyle skiing aerials competitions to be held later in the Vancouver Olympics games.
Refunds of general admission standing room tickets to be held in future will be communicated. Refunds including for those with tickets they purchased on the fan to fan market place will be made after the conclusion of the 2010 Vancouver winter Olympics. Be aware of the latest news at our site.
