Plan A Mini Vacation To Relax

One of the problems associated with telecommuting or working at home is drawing the line between work and play. Since you are always at your office, it is sometimes tempting to head back into the little cubby at home after dinner and to let family time suffer.

If you are finding yourself in a rut, then perhaps it is time to throw your work back into the home office storage and get ready for a mini vacation.

While you may be thinking it is winter and too cold outside to do much, remember that winter means snow. So whether you pull out the snowmobile or the salomon ski equipment, pack some high energy snacks made with your black decker food processor and head up to the mountains.

When summer arrives, one low cost mini vacation is a trip to the beach. Take your time to enjoy the sun and the water so that you can be refreshed as you hit your work again tomorrow and get something accomplished.

Spring or Fall days make the perfect time for hikes in the woods or drives through the countryside. Amusement park fans will find the parks less crowded as most of the kids are still in school so lines will be short and you can avoid the heat of summer. These days also make a great time to visit the parks or zoos.

A mini vacation might only be a few hours or can stretch to a three or four day weekend. The make a ideal time to spend with family and to reconnect with those you love the most. Many times you will be able to get even more work done when you return than if you had stayed at home for a normal schedule.

All of us need a temporary diversion. The pressures of work and family can leave us frazzled. The mini vacation is a time that we are able to refocus and refresh to prepare for the challenges of life.

How long has it been since you took time to play? You may only need a few hours or a few days with family to relax and enjoy the things around you. There is no need to wait. You can make arrangements today and have a break next week. Having the plans can motivate you to get things done today that should be done. Then you can leave work with no worries until you return.
