The Women's Tuxedo

Women Can Wear Tuxedos?

Womens Tuxedos are also very popular.  More and more woman are donning a female tuxedo to show their style as well.  I’ve seen Madonna, Katie Holmes and Cameron Diaz wear women’s tuxedos and they look really great in them! It’s a nice transition from having to wear dresses and skirts all the time. How do my readers acknowledge Womens Tuxedos?Would you wear a green tuxedo?Do you think that they are too boyish?I personally would sport one.  The lines are cut softer than a man’s tuxedo and they are tailored to fit the shape of our body. When you see a really pretty woman like Courtney Cox wearing a Women’s Tuxedo you can bet that it won’t look masculine at all.  I’ve even seen some high school girls wearing Tuxedos to their prom.I know that may sound remarkable but I’ve seen it.Not all girls like dresses and all the flutter that is associated with them.

Just like there are different trends for clothing there are different fads for tuxedos as well. Some tuxes are uncustomarily colorful and perhaps wouldn’t be the best choice to be worn to a black tie event.  White tuxedos and black tuxedos are the choice for this type of event.Classic events such as proms, formal banquets, etc can also be formal but you can be more versatile with your color choice.Maybe you want to wear your school colors or perhaps you have a favorite color and would like your tux to be that color. Green tuxedos are becoming more socially accepted when choosing a tuxedo.White tuxedos are also very fashionable because you can change the vest color, bow tie color and have a completely different look.

There are many pieces when choosing your tuxedo.  There is the jacket, the tuxedo shirt, the vest, the pants, the shoes, socks, tie and cufflinks.

If you are a best man at a formal wedding and the colors of the bride are pink and white for example you can choose a pink tuxedo or a white tuxedo. If the colors are purple you may choose something in that family. It’s best to visit a store when choosing your tuxedo and make it a point to give yourself ample time so that you are able to get your tuxedo propertly tailored. If you are a woman and reading this article these same rules maybe applicable to you . Womens tuxedos are a very distinctive alternative to dresses when invited to a black tie event.

Tea for the Tillerman

Tea for the Tillerman

$6.31

Cat Stevens tends to be lumped in with the early-’70s singer-songwriter school led by James Taylor and Carole King, but he actually fits in rather neatly with such wistful English contemporaries as Nick Drake, Syd Barrett, and Donovan. Tea for the Tillerman’s “Wild World,” “Into White,” and “Longer Boats” indicate that he may have been a more gifted tunesmith than the lot of them. As with the best…

Marty Robbins - All-Time Greatest Hits

Marty Robbins – All-Time Greatest Hits

$4.42

Marty Robbins has more greatest-hits compilations than most artists have hits. This 20-cut single-disc collection is one of the better values, with a representative selection that extends from gunfighter balladry such as “El Paso” (his 1959 chart-topper and biggest crossover success) and “Big Iron” to the calypso-tinged “Devil Woman” to his cover of Gordon Lightfoot’s folkish “Ribbon of Darkness.”…

Disraeli Gears

Disraeli Gears

$5.92

Fresh Cream, the album that introduced this seminal super-blues trio to America, was perhaps a bit too blues-based to do the advance hype (“Clapton is God!”) justice. Two of its three best-known tracks, after all, were blues covers. It was Disraeli Gears that turned Cream into a “supergroup.” Here they pursue the psychedelic ideals of the era with total abandon (the LP cover art still stands as on…

Vivre sa Vie (The Criterion Collection) [Blu-ray]

$23.98

Jean-Luc Godard and the French New Wave were at the height of their power and creativity when Godard released Vivre Sa Vie (Living Her Life) in 1962. And watching it again, years later, instantly transports one to the era where an offhand remark, a lazy circle of cigarette smoke, a sidelong glance, a disaffected “I don’t care about you” could all communicate deep, conflicted longing, alienation, p…

8 1/2 (The Criterion Collection) [Blu-ray]

8 1/2 (The Criterion Collection) [Blu-ray]

$27.20

Federico Fellini’s 1963 semi-autobiographical story about a worshipped filmmaker who has lost his inspiration is still a mesmerizing mystery tour that has been quoted (Woody Allen’s Stardust Memories, Paul Mazursky’s Alex in Wonderland) but never duplicated. Marcello Mastroianni plays Guido, a director trying to relax a bit in the wake of his latest hit. Besieged by people eager to work with him, …

Peter Pan [VHS]

Peter Pan [VHS]

$12.95

An entire generation of baby boomers grew up with this stagy but magical production, which originated on Broadway but was broadcast several times on TV. They may not know Mary Martin or Cyril Ritchard–two staples of the commercial theater in their time–for any other reason, but they’ll always be able to name them as Peter Pan and Captain Hook. The story of the boy who wouldn’t grow up includes a…
